Career and public contribution
N.B. Maharjan is a veteran Nepali action director, film director and actor whose credits stretch across several generations of commercial cinema. The Film Nepal records more than one hundred action-direction credits, alongside acting and directing work, reflecting a career built around one of filmmaking’s most physical and technically demanding disciplines.
His directing credits include Bazar, Sakas, Heroz and Roll No. 101 in public film databases. Across a much larger body of action work, he has collaborated with many of Nepal’s prominent directors, performers and technical crews.
As Vice Chairman of Cinema Circle Nepal, Maharjan brings the perspective of cinema craft into the organisation’s leadership — an important dimension for an awards platform that recognises not only screen performance and direction but also the technicians and specialist departments that make films possible.
